Path to Salvation
The path to being a disciple who follows Jesus cannot begin without a belief in Christ and a commitment to make Him the Lord of your life. This is what the Bible would call Salvation. If you would like to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ today, receiving Him as your Lord and Savior, we want to walk with you down the Path of Salvation. Read through the following scriptures from the book of Romans to learn what Christ did for each of us to be able to receive the gift of Salvation.
THE PROBLEM OF SIN
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." Romans 3:23
THE WAGES OF SIN
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23a
THE LOVE OF GOD
"But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION
"But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23b
ACCEPTING THE FREE GIFT
"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9, 13
Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior
You may ask how you can receive the free gift of salvation. It is simple.
All you have to do is pray this prayer:
God, I CONFESS that I'm a sinner.
I BELIEVE that you, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sins and that He rose from the dead for me.
I SURRENDER my life completely to you Jesus as LORD. Amen
