Anointing

Lead Pastor Anthony Longoria explains what anointing is.

1. Pastor Anthony mentioned that most people, believers and unbelievers, are comfortable hearing about God and Jesus, but aren’t as comfortable hearing about the Holy Spirit. Is this your experience? Talk about what you've been taught (or not) about the Holy Spirit.

2. The bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father and one of the greatest gifts we’ve been given is the Holy Spirit. He is our comforter, counselor, advocate, and so much more. Do you see your relationship with the Holy Spirit as a gift? In what ways could you begin to “unwrap” this gift in your life?

3. Many times, we believe that the anointing is reserved for the pastor or the “super spiritual” ones, but 1 John 2:20 says that we’ve all been anointed by Jesus. Are you living your life with an awareness of this anointing? Have you allowed the anointing to bring about transformation in your life? What are some things in your life that could be distracting you from the awareness of the anointing?
